Hi! I’m Rayzel, known online in the hCG world as “hcgchica.”
I went from a size 18 to a size 2/4 with hCG injections. As of November 2019 I’ve be maintaining my hCG weight loss for 7 full years. Yes SEVEN! That’s not a typo.
I undertook to make the best hCG recipe resource that exists - I called it the P2 Recipes Project and for 2 full years our team created the recipes, I shot thousands of photos, I pooped out for awhile, I trained my kitchen assistant in food photography so she could take over, then I got some energy back and we finished together. During this 2 years, the recipes were being utilized on the website for free. This gave plenty of time for people to try them and see how tasty they were and how it helped them on the hCG Diet.

Do they work?
WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF RECIPES USING ONLY INGREDIENTS ON DR. SIMEONS ORIGINAL LIST OF FOODS - THE ORIGINAL HCG DIET. We call these “SP recipes” - “Simeons protocol”.
BUT WHAT ABOUT MODIFIED/EXPANDED HCG FOOD LISTS THAT MANY WEIGHT LOSS CLINICS NOW USE? These have a larger list of foods with more vegetable, fruit and protein options.
I chose to include hundreds of recipes on chicarecipes.com that use these expanded list of foods too - WHY? BECAUSE THESE MODIFIED PROTOCOLS WORK EQUALLY WELL FOR MANY PEOPLE. You will find the full list of ingredients used for what we call “AP” recipes - “Alternate Protocols” under our FAQ section further below.
But you may still be wondering, does the diet still work WELL on these modified diets? Will I still lose weight and feel happy with my results? Let me share some thoughts from other hCG ladies who’ve written in to me by email:

The P2 recipes work for me, they are very good. I have used many of them with success! I was a bit scared to use tomato paste, but I followed your recipe exactly and it worked! I still lost weight. I love the noodle dishes and use miracle noodles all the time. They really work for me even though they are not Simeons protocol. AP things work for me too, as I tried one or two of yours and realized that they didn't stall me at all.
Thank you for making this very boring phase so much more exciting and tasty! Seriously, your P2 recipes made it doable for 6 to 6.5 weeks. All of your support from the original hCG site to your P2 and P3 recipes have been the best success and help I could ever ask for. My husband has done the program several times also and loves your site! In fact, he discovered it and told me about it around 5 or 6 years ago.
Back when I did Hcg for the very first time -completely on my own in January 2008, it was very scary and new, and I didn't know if any support groups existed. Now your site exists, and it's the best one out there!!!!

I wanted to share with you what worked for me because I decided to do the AP (non-original simeons version of diet) so I could have more variety. The last time I did the HCG diet I followed SP strictly, but I was miserable – all I ate was a piece of dry protein and veggies every day (agggh).
Your recipes saved my sanity! I loved most of them and actually enjoyed prepping my meals. My favorites are: InstaPot Beef Chili, Spicy Chicken & Asparagus soup, Chicken Banh Mi, Thai chicken Meatballs, Fried miracle rice, Asian ginger scallops, Taco salad, Lemon shrimp with Pesto, Chipotle Lime Shrimp w/ Cauli rice, and Sirloin Chimichurri & Fennel Fries, and I will continue to make those meals even after P3! I was so satisfied with the flavor and substance of my meals that I rarely had cravings for “bad food”.
I must take this opportunity to thank you for your P2 recipes: they saved my sanity. They are both easy to prepare (for my husband, who is the cook) and delicious. I don’t think I could have survived a 6 week program without them. Initially, I tried to stick to the SP recipes, but there just wasn’t enough variety, so I had one or two AP recipes that didn’t seem too off the plan that had been given to me by the clinic where they sold me the program and the hCG injections. But then I spoke to the nurse practitioner there, as she had recommended your site, and she said that both SP and AP are ok with their protocol. She said she normally recommends that clients stick with one-SP or AP-but she felt I was doing well enough to continue mixing both.

I’m 13 days and down 11.5 pounds. Everything seems to be the same (meaning doing SP and AP are giving her the same results). I have been using your recipes for about 80% of my meals. I did the HCG diet years ago and my biggest fear walking into this round was becoming bored with the food. It happened to me last time and when I would become bored with the food I would get anxious/desperate and cheat!!!

I have used your P2 recipes and yes, I used the AP recipes. I don't know how I would have gotten through hcg without them! You have created amazing things with little to work with. And made them look and sound even better. The Meatzas are probably my favorite. And who knew roasted radishes could be actually delicious! Your photos are bright and colorful and let's face it, when doing hcg, one doesn't always feel so bright and colorful so the visual "lightens the mood."
While I lost weight on hcg and kept it off for quite some time, it has returned. The only thing that will get me back to hcg is knowing those recipes are out there.

I just wanted to let you know that using your P2 and then moving to the P3 meals have made a HUGE difference in my life and that of my spouse. I learned not only how to ear clean and healthy, but how to cook healthy as well as learning about tools and resources and how to batch cook as well. Also, I had never really used spices until you taught me and boy oh boy, spices are the "space of life". Today, I much prefer to cook and eat at home.

I left him to fend for himself food-wise while I did this round of hCG, and he’s been ogling my meals and asking for little tastes, LOL. The recipes you’ve created here far exceeded my expectations.
