Hello!
This is a photo proving that I’m still maintaining my own weight loss from using hCG injections with the hCG diet protocol for 5 years as of November 2017.
My name is Rayzel and I’m the owner and creator of many hCG diet resources:
- The hCG Diet Workbook
- hcgchica.com
- chicarecipes.com – you are here now :)-
- p3tolife.com – a fully structured program for the phase 3 stabilization phase of the protocol. The first of it’s kind! (I can see why – it took 2 years and….well lots of other stuff we won’t go into to create it).
You can also see what I’m up to and get more info & tips for your hCG journey through my social media accounts:
This all came from my own struggle with being overweight and being addicted to sugar which led to a binge eating disorder.
Here I was at 5’1″ and topped out at 172 lbs. For you taller ladies out there, most women who are 5 feet tall and some change would be somewhere in the 110-120 lb range. I was wearing a size 16 that had become too tight. My desperation to NOT have to go buy size 18 clothing led me to my openness to give the hCG Diet protocol a try when I stumbled across it online accidentally in 2011.
Here’s one of the first youtube videos I EVER made – my 2nd loading day for hCG in March 2011:
It’s a bit of a long story how I got to my goal, but I did the hCG diet in the common 6 week rounds, but then took very long breaks between. I finished my final round of hCG in November 2012.
Don’t believe me? Am I making up these dates? Here’s a youtube video I made towards the end of my final round in late October 2012:
Aaaannnd now it’s been over 5 years. Which is honestly just crazy.
On a more personal non-diet level. I have a pretty strong silly bone in my genetics. It came out a lot more often before my Chronic Illness became a thing and started robbing me of all that is good. ;). I can both joke and be sad and yet still happy all at the same time about that.
I also have a I-wanted-to-be-in-construction bone and an i-love-color-like-super-alot bone, so I can also be found in my paint covered overalls painting stuff, nailing stuff, beating up wood stuff to make newer things look “rustic” and when I take runs to the grocery store for dinner in them, I get people saying (more than once no joke) “I love your overalls! Are those real?” Like, is it real paint? Why yes, it’s real paint, from doing real work, no kidding! Not just a fashion statement. I’ve been told I should sell these on Etsy. #nextbusiness?
Here’s the overalls.
But you know what I also want to be sure to share? And why I think it’s important?
When I went from having lots of energy to none, doing things like putting on makeup became impossible most the time- if I wanted to feed my 2 year old that day at least.
To this day, since I still deal with many symptoms, I only wear makeup for videos, special occasions, and interviews on the hcgchica blog. It’s too much of an energy draw that I can’t afford to spend each day when I have so many other things that are ACTUALLY important. If I had enough energy for it all, I would totally do it. I’m not against it. But sometimes you have to make choices.
And it’s through this experience, fraught with many many dark days, that I really and truly no longer mind being just who I physically am without improvements. I don’t need to be pretty to feel valuable. I don’t mind if no one pays attention to me when I’m out and about. In fact, I prefer it that way, and wearing no makeup and sweat pants is actually a great way to get people to mostly ignore you I’ve found.
I love that we woman can get dolled up and look and feel all pretty in our makeup and jewelry. But I also think that we women should feel comfortable and supported in our natural state. Because I used to feel really ugly and thinking negative thoughts about this took up way too much of my time – many wasted moments and hours in my early twenties really.
Life is so precious. We should be spending it on endeavors that can help others and accomplish something in a way that is personally deeply fulfilling to each of us personally.
So this is the real me too.
It’s mostly that I used to remember seeing other beautiful women and thinking, wow they are just naturally so beautiful, what happened to me? When I see myself in the morning I’m just sooooo far below this. It wasn’t till I was older that I realized just how much makeup can transform not just me but all those other gals too! Which again, like I said, I have nothing against- I just think it’s nice when we can let both sides of us to show to support and make other women feel comfortable in their own skin – help them realize, HEY we all look pretty plain like the brown lady peacocks without our special kit of various potions. ;)-
K What Else?
I do all my own food photography on this site. I learned it through scrolling Instagram Feeds and googling stuff for a year and shooting all the recipes for the hCG Diet Phase 3 Stabilization and Maintenance Program I named P3tolife to gradually improve.
And sorry, the muffins in this pic are definitely P3, not P2 :(.
